1. The optical cable reel equipped with optical cables should be rolled in the direction indicated on the side panel of the reel. The rolling distance should not be too long, generally not exceeding 20 meters. When rolling, attention should be paid to preventing obstacles from damaging the packaging board.
2. When loading and unloading optical cables, lifting equipment such as forklifts or special steps should be used. It is strictly prohibited to roll or throw the cable reel directly from the vehicle.
3. It is strictly prohibited to lay the optical cable reel with optical cables flat or stacked, and protective wooden blocks must be installed on the optical cable reel inside the carriage.
4. It is not advisable to rewind the optical cable multiple times to avoid the integrity of the internal structure of the cable. Before laying the optical cable, a visual inspection, verification of specifications, models, quantities, test lengths, and attenuation should be conducted on a single cable. Each cable should be accompanied by a factory inspection certificate on the protective plate (which should be properly stored for future reference). When disassembling the cable protective plate, be careful not to damage the cable.
5. During the construction process, it should be noted that the bending radius of the optical cable should not be less than the construction regulations, and excessive bending of the optical cable is not allowed.
6. The laying of overhead optical cables should be pulled by pulleys to avoid friction with buildings, trees, and other facilities, and to avoid damage to the outer skin of the cables due to dragging or friction with other sharp objects. Protective measures should be installed when necessary. It is strictly prohibited to forcefully pull the optical cable after jumping out of the pulley to prevent it from being flattened and damaged.
7. When designing optical cable lines, it is important to avoid flammable objects as much as possible. If this is not possible, fire protection measures should be taken for the optical cable.
8. In the construction of long section optical cable laying, if it is necessary to rewind, the optical cable must be laid according to the "8" character. Make the optical cable completely twisted.
